Learn to make a great French Press Coffee every time.

Ingredients & Ratio:

  • Blue Monarch Coffee
  • French Press
  • Water warmed to 200-205* F
  • Ratio: 7 grams of Coffee to 8 ounces of water

The Process

Step 1: Preheat

Start with preheating your french press with a few ounces of hot water. This will allow the glass to warm up before brewing coffee. If you start with a cold press the water temperature will drop significantly and will not give you a perfect brew.

Let the press warm up for 1 minute with hot water in it. During this time weigh and grind your beans. It is best to grind your beans medium to medium course on your grinder. We recommend a burr grinder for the most consistent results.

Once grinding is complete pour hot water (200-205* F) out of press. Now add your coffee grounds and hot water. Once water is added stir your grounds in the water for 10-15 seconds to ensure they are all wet and ready to start brewing.

Now put your brew top on but do not press it down. Let the coffee brew for 2-3 minutes and then press down on your filter and enjoy some amazing, fresh coffee.
